This Mayor-Council meeting consisted mainly of round-robin announcements from council members before a brief executive session. Members announced an upcoming budget engagement series ('Budget Book Club') with events on Thursday, September 25th at a District 8 location and Saturday, October 3rd (location TBD), a community safety event at Metro State University on September 26th, a community information meeting about a proposed 400-bed shelter in the Clayton neighborhood (which the announcing member stated they did not support), a rescheduled District 4 concert-in-the-park event moved to October 24th, and neighborhood cleanups and a Sloan's Lake event in northwest Denver. The meeting concluded with a motion to enter executive session pursuant to C.R.S. 24-6-402(4)(f) to receive legal advice regarding negotiation of contracts and the use of real estate at a site, which passed.
